US Tax Director - Hedge Funds/PE (Located in Bermuda)

We're partnering with one of the world's top, Big 4 tax firms in Bermuda, to find a US Tax Director or Senior Manager for their Hedge Funds and Private Equity team.

Bermuda is a British island territory in the North Atlantic Ocean known for its pink-sand beaches such as Elbow Beach and Horseshoe Bay. This highly unique opportunity will be to become an integral part of a dynamic U.S. tax team while living and working in one of the most beautiful locations in the world.

What will your typical day look like?

• Acting as a practice leader, the Tax Director or Senior Manager will be responsible for targeting and developing a book of business consisting of global hedge fund and private equity clients.
• You will also be responsible for overseeing a current portfolio of management companies and traditional hedge, credit and fund of funds.
• This would include compliance and consulting services for U.S. and foreign partnerships and corporations, with a focus on high-quality delivery.
• You'll keep up to date on and apply your knowledge of current and pending U.S. and cross-border tax laws and policy developments to advise clients on an array of business tax matters in the Investment

• At least 8 years’ experience in a relevant Tax Practice including extensive technical experience and at least 3 years in a managerial position.
• An internationally recognized professional accounting or legal qualification required: CPA, CA, ACCA, JD/LLM or Enrolled Agent.
• Exposure and understanding of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code with in-depth experience in the broader Investment Management Industry with a focus on Hedge Funds and/or Private Equity.
• Experience in assisting with the development of new business.

Preferred:

• Masters in Tax or U.S. Law degree and/or L.L.M in U.S. taxation.
